LT THEATER PRESENTS "THE WITCHES"

Sounds more like a Halloween production, but the annual freshman/sophomore play at Lyons Township High School's South campus this winter will be a fairy tale about real life witches.

The play, called "The Witches," is a modern-day fairy tale, written by Ronald Dahl and adapted by David Wood, in which all the witch characters are dressed like ordinary women. The director is faculty member Lawrence Keller.

The show was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 11 and 12 and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 in the South campus Performing Arts Center, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, Western Springs. Doors open a half hour prior to each show.

Tickets will be available at the box office outside the theater for $10 apiece, with student and senior citizen tickets just $5 each.
